We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build functional systems that improve customer experience. Responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in system engineering, automation and are familiar with Perl / Python / Bash or similar, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.
Responsibilities:
- Build a robust, scalable infrastructure to meet our customers’ needs
- Provide infrastructure needed to maintain multiple Dev/test environments, ensuring each environment is consistently set up, configured, and available for each release as scheduled
- Trace complex build problems, release issues, and environmental issues
- Work efficiently and effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Think strategically, investigate, and act tactically. You have solid judgment and know when to escalate
- Help integrate automated test scenarios into CI/CD pipelines
- Handle code deployments in all environments
- Monitor metrics and identify ways to improve
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on the
- particulars of DevOps-based development and deployment
- Can improve practices for infrastructure development and application development
Qualification & Experience Required:
- Proven 3-5 years of experience
- Expert in Containerization & Orchestration
- Critical understanding of SLAs
- Expert in scripting (Batch, Perl, Bash, Ruby, Groovy, or similar languages)
- Knowledge of secure web technologies, TLS, certificates, etc.
- The ability to explain technical concepts in a friendly and patient manner
- Willing to travel on-site for deployments
- Proven experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar)
- Proficient with software configuration management tools (GIT or similar)
- Ability to create CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
- Experience using/creating build tools (Maven, Ant, Gradle, or similar)
- Solid understanding and practical experience with software development life cycles (Agile) with emphasis on release engineering functions
- Preferred experience with AWS
